Ross "Rusty" Aimer

Captain Ross “Rusty” Aimer has over 40 years, and 25,000 hours of world wide heavy-jet flight experience. He has a B.S. Degree in Aerospace Maintenance Engineering, and an A&P license.
He started his airline service with TWA as an A&P Mechanic in 1963 where he also served as Flight Engineer and pilot. Since then, he has flown for Continental, Iran Air, Lufthansa, Cargolux, Tower Air, and United Airlines.
Captain Aimer retired from United Airlines in July of 2004 as an International 767 Captain. During his commercial airline career, Ross served as Captain and is type rated on the following aircraft: Boeing 777/767/757/747/737/727/720/707, and Douglas DC-10/DC-9/DC-8F Jet transports.
Captain Aimer has an extensive background in aviation safety, maintenance, training, management, and sales. Captain Aimer is ALPA’s Airport Liaison Representative for Monterey Airport. He has also served the 66,00 strong Airline Pilots Association (an AFLCIO Affiliate) as the member of its Board of Directors, Master Executive Council, and Chairman of the Local Scheduling Committee.
Captain Aimer has also made cameo appearances on the set of several aviation related movies. He was recently the Technical Advisor on the set of the television show, the Alias, the movie Terminal and the movie Cellular.
As Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Experts LLC, Captain Aimer will be responsible for our Consulting Services Division, as well as the overall success of the company.
